Module 1

In the first lesson, we will explore the evolution of ESG concepts over time, from their origins to their growing relevance today. We will see how standards play a crucial role in the standardization and disclosure of ESG information. In particular, we will examine the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), which are important references in this area.

Module 2

In the second class, we will delve deeper into the main frameworks used by companies to measure and report their ESG practices. We will explore the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index (ISEB3), the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), as well as Carbon Pricing (PE), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and Financial Reporting (FR) approaches.

Module 3

In the third lesson, we’ll examine some certifications and initiatives related to sustainability. We’ll look, for example, at the “Best Companies to Work For” recognition, at business ethics initiatives, and at the EuReciclo seal, which promotes recycling and circular economy practices.

Module 4

In the final class, we’ll cover the main ratings used to assess companies’ ESG performance. We’ll see how institutions like MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P, and VigeoEris analyze and score companies based on ESG criteria, providing valuable insights for investors and stakeholders interested in this dimension.
